THE POSITION
We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our hard-charging and fast-growing team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician will measure and support quality of all manufacturing lines at Staccato Ammunition. This role will be pivotal in the start-up and growth of a ground-up company. Staccato Ammunition's facility will encompass cold heading, metal stamping, assembly, and packaging You will learn and become knowledgeable on the expected outputs and tolerances of all our manufacturing and assembly processes. You will be responsible for reporting all data in accordance with our quality management systems SOPs.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the successful candidate for this role will drive the quality team through the following:
• Support the development of the company’s SOPs.
• Incoming, In-process, and final inspections.
• Internal audits
• Supplier audits
• Understand and meet/exceed set departmental production and efficiency targets.
• Complete maintenance reporting paperwork and other reporting as required.
• Identify, resolve, and report employee safety issues or concerns.
• Resolve conflicts and issues in a professional, respectful manner.
• Ensure all company policies, rules, and regulations are being adhered to.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of machine operations and aid in machine set-ups and troubleshooting when necessary.
• Daily communications with peers and management on the pulse of the department.
• Use of firearms for quality control testing purposes.
• Assist the Quality Manager in all quality and process related investigations.
• Other duties may be assigned beyond the above, in support of Staccato Ammunition’s production and mission.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Understanding of ammunition and firearms function required.
• Practice of safe weapons handling required.
• Technical Degree or Certificate preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred.
• Experience in the metal working, machining, or cold heading preferred.
• Experience in a high production environment preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or proven track record of success using LEAN or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficient with MS Office with an emphasis on Excel.
• Able to physically lift 40+ pounds repeatedly over an extended period of time each day.
