THE POSITION
We are seeking a Production Specialist 1 to join our hard-charging and fast-growing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Specialist 1 will be responsible for Packaging and Shipping Preparation inside the warehouse. This role will be pivotal in the start-up and growth of a ground-up company. You will learn and become knowledgeable on the expected storage and protection of the materials to support the packaging and shipping process. You will be responsible for operating in accordance with our quality management systems SOPs.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the successful candidate for this role will drive the quality team
through the following:
• Incoming and in-process visual inspection of products and materials.
• Packaging and labeling of finished product.
• Palletize orders for shipment.
• Storage and re-stock of packaging materials, including use of forklift and stairs.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Understand and meet/exceed set departmental production and efficiency targets.
• Complete physical inventory counts as required.
• Identify, resolve, and report employee safety issues or concerns.
• Resolve conflicts and issues in a professional, respectful manner.
• Ensure that all company policies, rules, and regulations are being adhered to.
• Maintain thorough understanding of rack and warehouse safety protocols.
• Daily communications with peers and management on the pulse of the department.
• Package and move finished product, to facilitate Production operations.
• High attention to detail
• Capable of working scheduled shifts in an industrial environment, including long periods of standing.
• Collection of spent brass from onsite pistol/ rifle/ shotgun ranges
• Employee must be willing to discharge firearms in a controlled and safe range environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to physically lift 40+ pounds repeatedly over an extended period each day.
• Flexibility to work 10-12 hours per day (not to exceed 40 hours per week)
• Experience in small warehouse operations (preferred but not required)
• Experience with ground and LTL shipment processes (preferred but not required)
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015 or proven track record of success using LEAN principles. (preferred but
not required)
